- A. Increases mitochondrial membrane potential (up to 1.36-fold)
This study probably illustrates best what we mean with “a water battery for cells”. The increase in membrane potential within mitochondria is crucial for cellular health, as it enhances ATP production, the energy currency of the cell. Study 5 : Exclusion zone and heterogeneous water structure at ambient temperature
- I. QELBY water proved to behave as a water battery for cellular metabolism
The properties studied in the following experiments are designed to demonstrate the FUNCTION of this kind of water: it proves that the water mixed with QELBY behaves exactly as a water battery, providing the appropriate microcurrents for cellular metabolism and cellular replication.
This study is fundamental of the properties of QELBY to produce, either in a direct contact manner, or in a non-contact manner, a consistent flow of electrons of oxygen and of a radiative energy that changes the molecular arrangement of most liquids: and in water, this new arrangement is called EZ water, as described by Jerry Pollack.
This first illustration presented in the study had for objective demonstrating that water exposed to QELBY ceramic generates electricity. A glass container is separated by a wall having 2 “windows”:
- A Nafion membrane known to be a good “proton” (positive charge) conductor
- An aluminum foil known to be a good “electron” (negative charge) conductor.
An electrode is placed in each compartment and connected to a voltmeter. Then, QELBY in powder is placed in the left compartment. Immediately a condition called “phase difference” is generated: electrons are more massively produced than protons, this means that between the left compartment and the right compartment, there will be an unequal electrical charge called a “potential difference”. All the protons will go toward the right electrode, while all the electrons will go towards the left electrode, exactly like an battery operates. The voltmeter will show a higher amount of electrons: in tap water, without QELBY, you would measure a neutral state, where electrons and protons balance out.
So, standard tap water averages an ORP (oxydo-reduction potential) of + 650 mV, which is considered as “safe water”. Why ?
A sanitary misconception: such high ORP indicates a sufficient level of oxidizing agents (like chlorine or dissolved oxygen) in the water. These agents help to eliminate bacteria, viruses, and other pathogens, ensuring the water is sanitized and safe for consumption. While his may be true in the context of fear of bacterial or viral infection of the water, it does not make is “healthy water”. Healthy water should always have a negative charge, with as much free electrons to help the metabolism to neutralize R.O.S and to allow necessary biochemical metabolic activity.
QELBY lowers the pH, making it more alkaline: this slight decrease improves oxygen solubility. When QELBY is placed into a water body, there is a consistent production of electrons and oxygen: the material acts therefore as a catalyst, liberating dissolvable oxygen.
It is clear that the QELBY material producing strong microcurrents, launches processes of water splitting: in normal conditions, we would find an equal production of oxygen and hydrogen, but the research proved that there was little to no production of molecular hydrogen. The pH of the solution, temperature, and applied voltage can also influence the balance between hydrogen and oxygen production. This apparent contradiction is explained in previous research* , where, under specific conditions, such as high overpotentials (that is the case for QELBY) or in the presence of certain ions, the production of hydrogen can be suppressed while oxygen is generated more efficiently.
QELBY as a CATALYST? where does the energy comes FROM?
We can only conclude that the somatid based QELBY ceramic behaves in water as a simple oxygen-evolution catalyst. But the overall water splitting model is lacking something… the ENERGY !
Mineral metallic catalysts, such as those made from transition metals (e.g., nickel, cobalt, or iron), can enhance the efficiency of water splitting by facilitating the reactions at the electrodes.
They help lower the activation energy required for the hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) and the oxygen evolution reaction (OER), but still rely on an external energy source to drive the process.

We know that this ceramic absorbs UV light, but its capacity to produce electrons in water is not directly related to the presence of UV light; Several experiments that were made demonstrated that an unexplained and unidentified energy was involved: the visual examination of the somatid complex material shows that there is an intense activity (videos of activated mineral somatids).

- J. QELBY ceramic involves mechanisms that are linked to an “X” energy, temporarily called QUANTUM ENERGY.

Another significant studied mechanism is how, by contact or non-contact, the QELBY material change the molecular arrangements of different liquids , gases and solids.
Experiments made with salted water showed that QELBY precipitated the separation of salt from sweat water: experiments made in agriculture , where powder is dispersed in a highly salted soil ( near the sea) resulted in the extraction of the salt from the underground soil, where all the salt terminated crystalized above ground (white marks of salt) while the soil underground turned to fertile soil. In laboratory experiments, the same was repeated: since QELBY is known to absorb UV, we expected that the UV light was responsible for the water evaporation, and that this evaporation was not linked to the presence of QELBY: the results proved the opposite: that temperature increase is not linked to this evaporation, but that QELBY obviously accelerates the evaporation:

It is an interesting finding, when we read the research made by the inventor , where he noticed that healing don’t take place where mold can grow : we all know that mold grow on moisture, and QELBY is the “enemy of moisture” it is more than evaporating the water, it changes the moisture molecular arrangement. Changes in dielectric constant: Water has a high dielectric constant (around 78.5 at room temperature), which means it can effectively store electrical energy when exposed to electric-electromagnetic fields: it explains why the water is able to store energy. Commentary: Antioxidants are substances that help neutralize ROS, protecting cells from oxidative damage. When antioxidants are present, they can reduce the levels of ROS, which in turn affects the intensity of biophoton emission. A decrease in biophoton emission can indicate effective antioxidant activity, as fewer ROS are available to produce light.

This study is not related to biological interactions: nevertheless from a physical point of view, all the results obtained explain why this material have so many electrical and radiating properties to act as a water battery.
This scientific publication concludes that new fabrics made with this yarn showed superior thermal properties compared to other specially developed fabrics for good thermal insulation.
